Thank You! And a Few Notes . . .

For the last few days, we've been thinking about the wedding almost constantly, telling each other about things one of us experienced that the other may not have. Every hour or two one of us will turn to the other and say, "And at one point, so-and-so came over and ..." or "And you know what happened when you were in the other room?" or "Did you hear when the band was playing 'Call Me Maybe'?"

So thanks to all who came to our wedding and who made it a special evening. It truly was the best night I can remember. ♦

Jeannie finds this incredibly embarrassing. But my first impression of her when we first met outside of class was that she was, well, earnest. "Whaaaaat?" she says now, indignant. "Earnest?"

New Hotel: Wyndham Garden Chinatown

Wyndham Garden Chinatown—it opened last year!

Alright, we found a great option for those of you who want to stay in Manhattan! It's downtown, so it's not too far from the venue in Dumbo, Brooklyn; and it's in Manhattan Chinatown so you have access to tons of great cheap food as well as trains to other parts of the city!

About That Registry...

 We'd love the opportunity to take more bad photos of ourselves in front of famous landmarks.

We've gotten a bunch of emails asking: Where's your wedding registry? Well the short answer is, we don't have one!

New York City apartments are small and we literally wouldn't be able to fit a lot of new stuff in our tiny apartment. 

We are, however, hoping for a nice long honeymoon after Jeannie has finished school and so would prefer contributions, in lieu of material gifts, toward our honeymoon. We've been wanting to travel together for quite a while, but have never had the opportunity.

But truly, please feel free to just bring yourself. We are just glad to have you come and celebrate with us.

Progress Report

Slowly but surely progress is being made on our wedding plans. I realize we are kind of rushing the wedding a little, but I'm actually finding it to be a lot less stressful knowing that the date is coming up so soon. There is no time for a lot of hemming and hawing. So decisions are made relatively seamlessly. What can I say—we're deadline oriented people!

The latest: We picked a caterer who will be providing a delicious Korean buffet for the reception! We're pretty excited about that. 

Here are photos of us at the MOMA for some non-wedding R&R, eating at our caterers, and examining the wedding space so we can plan some decorations. Get ready to spend about 5 hours in that big, empty room with us! —JC ♦
